First Wednesday of Every Month | 7–9 PM
Led by Adam Venable
Includes 6–10 wines + charcuterie from The Spotted Trotter

Wine School is our monthly deep dive into a single region, producer, or theme — designed to make wine feel approachable, layered, and genuinely fun.

We gather the first Wednesday of every month from 7–9pm at Burle’s, led by sommelier and wine educator Adam Venable. Each session blends storytelling and guided tasting in a relaxed, conversational setting — never a lecture.

Guests taste 6–10 wines, depending on the focus for the month, alongside thoughtfully curated charcuterie from The Spotted Trotter.

Interactive and welcoming to all levels, Wine School is built for curious drinkers — whether you're just getting started or already deep in the details.

What to expect:

  • A guided tasting of 6–10 wines

  • Insight into region, producers, and winemaking styles

  • Discussion and Q&A with Adam

  • Charcuterie from The Spotted Trotter

  • Takeaways you’ll actually use when ordering or buying wine

Seating is intentionally limited to keep the experience conversational and intimate.

Tickets are released monthly and tend to sell out.

Join us the first Wednesday of each month and explore wine in a way that’s equal parts educational and enjoyable.

April Wine School

Cristom Vineyards (Eola-Amity Hills, Oregon)

Wednesday, April 8, 2026 | 7 - 9pm

For April, we’re heading to the windswept volcanic slopes of Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills to explore the wines of Cristom Vineyards, one of the most compelling Pinot Noir estates in the New World. This lineup gives us a rare chance to taste across vintages, vineyard sites, and styles from a producer whose approach is as thoughtful as it is precise.

Cristom’s 240-acre estate sits on ancient volcanic soils shaped by Miocene-era activity, with vineyards rising from 200 to nearly 800 feet in elevation. The site is uniquely influenced by the Van Duzer Corridor, where cool Pacific breezes sweep through the hills each afternoon, preserving acidity and giving the wines their signature tension, salinity, and structure.

Farming here is fully organic and biodynamic, with an obsessive level of care in the vineyard — each vine is worked by hand throughout the season, cover crops maintain soil health, and even sheep are used for natural canopy management. In the cellar, the winemaking leans Burgundian in philosophy: native yeasts, whole-cluster fermentation, low yields, and site-specific decisions that allow each vineyard to speak clearly.

We’ll taste through estate whites, rosé, and a deep dive into Cristom’s single-vineyard Pinot Noirs — including multiple vintages from Jessie and Louise — to see how site, farming, and time shape the glass.

April lineup includes:
• Pinot Gris Estate
• Viognier Estate
• Chardonnay Eola-Amity Hills
• Rosé of Pinot Noir
• Pinot Noir Jessie (multiple vintages)
• Pinot Noir Louise (multiple vintages)
• Pinot Noir Marjorie
• Pinot Noir Paul Gerrie

Charcuterie from The Spotted Trotter, guided tasting with Adam, and the usual long-table format downstairs.
